Sluggish Shifts

Almost feels like a slip inbetween shifts. I know it's not supposed to bang like a shift kit, but does it sound normal to shift like this? 03 Tahoe, only had it a few months...bought it with 106k, now has 113k. Fluid was a little less than a qt. low, Threw in some Lucas Semi- Synthetic, but doesn't feel like much of an improvement.

Is it normal for these trucks to have a sluggish or lazy feeling shift?

What should my next step be?

If I were you, I'd do a fluid replacement using the method found at the link below, then see how it shifts.
