Went with the MOUNTEK ngroove for the CD slot, purchased one on eBay last night.
Got good reviews all over the Internet and the price seems right.

I've had one in my lifted jeep for over a year. Never a problem with it. Good choice. Who uses cds anymore amirite?

Good to hear. I know I hardly ever use my CD player anymore as I have an ipod hook up in my truck.

I liked the look (less bulky) of that one as well, but did not like the idea of having to attach that magnet piece on the back of my phone.

I was concerned about that too, I tried to put the magnet inside the case but it didn't seem strong enough. The large magnet is still very low profile.

Had to make a slight modification to work with my alpine deck.

DANG, YOU GOT YOURS FAST. I went the eBay route and mine is not suppose to arrive until Friday.

Looks good how you modded it around the knob on your stereo.

Other than that, are you satisfied with the way it mounts, tight enough, etc.?

I only messed with it for a few minutes. Over all it seemed sturdy. The magnet is very strong. I'm gonna have to try some different locations for the mount. It partially blocks the lcd screen of my radio but not too bad.

Did some more modding this evening. Was driving around tonight and it seemed to sag and still bind the volume wheel on my stereo. And it was blocking the next track button.

think I fixed that problem. Lol

So now you think it works well, happy with it?

Mine is suppose to be delivered Thursday, so we shall see.

Received mine in the mail today and for 24 bucks shipped this mount is AWESOME.

With the OEM CD player I think it works perfect, all displays are still easily readable and it is within perfect reach.

Cool. I'm happy with mine only down fall is it blocks my screen. The reason I passed on the model you got was because of the button release that is behind the phone. Glad you like it though.
