Ive heard other talk about ride stiffness and some say its a nice smooth ride.

You'd have to be waaaaayyyy more specific.
The varying suspensions amongst all the vehicles that this forums discusses is quite broad. Be more specific in what you have or want.
I have a burb 2500 with the HD leaf springs and it's stiff AF. It's OK though becuase I prefer to feel the road.
Now someone with a Yukon xl might have airbags and they float along their cloud of air. So, again there is no singular answer to your vague question.
