I picked this 2007 Yukon XL Denali on Saturday in Nashville and drove it home. 180,000 miles and a few cosmetic issues but it seems to be well maintained. There is a cracked dash (of course) and I also got a "Service Stabilitrac" and "Service Traction Control" warning in the DIC after I got home with it which is great when I just bought it. On the way home, the truck turned the Traction Control off without pushing the button. When I had that problem on my Tahoe, it was a bad wheel bearing. No roaring this time unless the exhaust of the 6.2L is drowning it out. So, I'm not sure what it could be. I don't want to give up my Tahoe but I needed more room and my camper is too big for the 5.3L.

I read that online but I don't have any other systems related to brakes (light problems, stuck in park, etc.). Regardless, I stopped by O'reillys and picked one up after work yesterday. I changed it last night and drove it to work today. It hasn't came back on yet. We will see. I noticed while installing the new one that the clip that goes over the pin that connects, the brake switch, pedal and the rod that goes through the firewall had a tab that goes under a lip. I'm pretty sure when I took it off, it wasn't under the lip. Now, I wonder if that was the actual problem because if it isn't under that lip, there is quite a bit of play.

Nice purchase. :waytogo: And FYI, you may already know those but thsoe messages you're seeing on your DIC related to Stabilitrack and traction control can be caused by about 530 different things. Those message pop up if you sneeze wrong so most likely something minor. Just give a good look over at things like MAF sensor, Air intake tube secured to the throttle body, Wheel hub assembly in good shape,.....things like that and go from there.
