Today was kinda fugged up. I took my hoe to a reputable car audio shop to get a wiring estimate & when they finish my cluster gauge is malfunctioning on the left side & top. Pissed me off 1st thing n da morning...next Iv been hearing this metal on metal sheering noise on my hoe for a couple of yrs now. It comes & goes & obviously its hard for most to hear cuzz I took it to 2 other dealerships & or shops & they look @ me like Im crazy then tell me about the damn intermediate shaft. (which I have always been aware of), but daz not the sound Im talking bout!
I took it to a dealership I had never been to & that has been up less than a yr. The young guy @ 1st cant hear the sound either, then he puts it on a lift & we r back there trying to figure stuff out (which many shops dont want u n da back for understandable reasons). we come to the conclusion that the hub bearings r probably the culprit, & should b replaced, as well as replacement of my front pass side rod (there was noticeble play)...
They didnt even charge me for this, & the young guy even fixed the itermediate steering shaft thingy for free! & on top of all that, when they gave me the prices on the parts & labor, they told me that when I get the service done there, they would give me a tahoe to drive until my hoe would b ready!!! I aint ever recieved that much from any dealership ever. What a life!
