Soft/Smooth Ride?

What brand and size tires have produced the smoothest and softest ride for you? Mine is a 2021 Tahoe High Country and I am very disappointed in ride quality?? Yes I have been back to dealer several times. They have not been able to help me! Thanks for responding.

I've never owned a Michelin tire I didn't like. They all seem to stay balanced, ride smooth, quiet and get phenomenal life. On a full-size SUV, I'd recommend the Michelin Defender LTX.

You can change a lot with tire pressure. The sticker in the Driver's door gives you the recommended tire pressure. It is usually somewhere in the 32-35psi range. I notice that many shops leave the pressures in the 40psi range. My new Yukon was at 45psi when I brought it home. Start with the recommended and see how that feels. You can go softer but too soft will trigger your pressure sensors, if your vehicle has them. I used to run 12psi around town on a old pickup with big fat T/A radials.

Anecdotal, but I’m the opposite actually, I never had a Michelin tire I liked. My 3 Acuras had them, high performance low profile high speed rating. Terrible ride quality/sound/tread life but that’s mostly expected for sports tires. Our Acadia has Michelin and it’s ohhhkay so far, ride noise isn’t great and isn’t super smooth.

My favorite tire so far is on our 03 Cadillac DeVille with Goodyear ComforTred Touring tires. Night and day difference for that car with noise and ride quality. I don’t remember what the original tire brand was on that one though. Granted these are only 16/17” tires, but still.

Some of the best tires I've owned (18" car tires) were Michelins. I have pilot sports on my R32 and there's no need to even consider another tire option when these wear out. As for the chevy/gmc, ours came with continental cross contacts and they were super smooth and quiet but we found the wet performance to be miserable. Changed em out for nitto ridge grapplers (much more aggressive tire) and they're fantastic in every way. These new rigs ride so smooth I think you could be rolling on 4 flat tires and it wouldn't be too bad

I've had 2 sets of Pirelli Scorpion tires and they were very smooth, good in rain, and trouble free, but we only got about half mileage out of them and little warranty. But they were very comfortable smooth riding tires. I'd consider them...

I first owned a 2021 Yukon with 20” wheels and now have a 2022 Yukon with 22” wheels. The ride quality was much more comfortable with the 20” wheels. I bet you could find someone to swap your your 22” wheels for a set of 20” wheels.

this guy would trade his 20s for some 22s... lol I second the Pirelli Scorpion tires. had them on my grand cherokee, my avalanche and now the yuke. Love these tires
