Sold my 997 S Porsche for my 97' 2 door hoe !

Yes, that's right, I did! Done deal!*

I'm sure I will get a ton of fire for my decision, but hear me out...

It was boring. *Seriously! I would come home everyday and what would I do?... Work on the hoe. The Porsche was dialed. Every option available, sport seats, full leather, launch control, fast as $hit! Fun to drive on the weekends with the wife, but sat untouched 90% of the time. Aside from the occasional Napa visit, bay area tour, PCA drive etc.. That's it. *Take it from me, not even close to the hype!*

Here we are getting ready for the Tahoe winter again and what's the "ultimate driving machine?" ( Porsche motto) the 2 door 4x4 hoe! Worth about 9 times less, there is no other car I would wish to own. No where we can't go and no truck is more capable. *Truckee is one of the snowiest places in the world and I can depend, without fail, always on my Tahoe. *

I worried daily about my pristine European rocket. Is it dirty? Does it need tires? (2k$) is the oil due? Is that a scratch? Etc.. Etc...etc..

My Tahoe? Not a worry in the world. Something broken? Probably 100$ do-it-yourself fix. Trust me when I say these are the most practical and reliable trucks ever made!*

I am now saving 1$k per month without the Porsche and completing a few upgrades to the Tahoe. But rest assured, for those who thought the grass was greener, I promise *there is no ride greater than the all capable GM Tahoe

Cheers*

Hummm... Might be a little short! :) I swear, not worth it. Maybe in 5 more yrs when I have cash to just sit one in the garage. Maybe a GTS!

I'm just sayin, we have the most practical real world trucks. In fact, I pulled out my passport 9500ci from the Porsche and just put it into the 2 door. Stereo system goes in Monday with viper auto start. I'm stoked! ( maybe a little bit sad) kinda like taking my kid out for ice-cream after she looses a soccer game :)

So are u lifting ur hoe? U should get a winch so that u can rwcover it when u think u can ge t past something and u cant. Trust me i almost got my teuck stuck several years ago when there was a flood. I looked like shallow watsr but it was a ram so it basically kept on truckin. It started to bog down but overdrive showed the flood who is whos *****:)

I do want to lift it but I have no clue about that stuff. I have the front torsion bar cranked about 1-1.5 inch to fit tires. The ride is a bit squirly. I'd like to do a 2 or 3" lift only. Hoping that will return the ride to a "solid" state. What's the right way to do it? Body or suspension lift blocks etc?

Both my wife and I have 6 figure incomes ... Still sold the Porsche. We are done with "excess". But I will blame tacboy. He told me to do it. Someone must pay :)

There are two things that would make me not go for a porsche:

1-potholes
2-police

I mean they're really great cars, my buddy has a gt2 and its practically a road missile! But for the everyday guy, not a good option. Theres just so much fussing around you have to do to take care of them. Porsches are like very high maintenance women :)
