SOLVED: extremely high pitched, intermittent, electronic sound

In my case this failed module presents itself as a SUPER high frequency whine originating from the module itself. Putting my ear directly on the module isolated the issue then I started googling for fix videos. I ended up just disconnecting the module (as shown in the video) since I don't care if the passengers have control of their A/C or music, and I have had peace and quiet ever since.

This thread could probably be moved to the electronics one, but I wasn't sure if general troubleshooting should be here or there.

Passengers who want control of the HVAC or the radio should either marry the driver, or drive themselves.
Otherwise, passengers should passenge and let me drive.

It is caused by a bad ground. I cleaned the connectors and it went away.
