Too my first road trip this weekend and wanted to play around a bit to see how good I could do for 25 and 50 miles. My diesel Cruze used to have this "scorecard" on it for that, but I could not find that on the Tahoe. Also, 3rd picture is how far I was able to push it anc still had at least a couple gallons left in the tank based on my calculations.

Good job ! So far my best is 26.7 avg MPG and 30.3 best. But less than 500 miles on it and no real great long distance drives yet...

Nice, I was very interested in diesel but wife didn’t want. I’ll have to show her
After driving diesel, my wife refuses to go back to gasoline. She drives a Cruze diesel. With a lifetime average of 35.4 MPG she averages 550 miles to the tank.

I will say tho the 10 speed 5.3 is much smoother than my 8 speed 5.3 in my 19’ Silverado

I agree completely. My 19 Silverado with the 8 speed just felt lazy compared to the 10 speed. I thought people were being dramatic when they compared the two but they were all correct.

Oil pressure looks a bit low for a diesel?

I don’t love it. It feels like it trips and falls between 1st and 2nd. After 2nd, everything is pretty smooth.. but the transition from 1 to 2 is sloppy.

Currently 2/3 through an ~800mi road trip on my new Duramax 4x4. I was able to get a best 25mi of 35mpg on the highway trip down and 28.4mpg average on the 300mi trip here. Since then Texas hill country and city driving has dropped it to 25mpg average for the trip, still good. I'll post final results once I return tomorrow20210603_172448.jpg
