Someone peeled my tinted tail

Looks like some idiot peeled a half inch of my laminx tint on my LED taillight (maybe was curious to check out the film?). It's not bad, but it's not gonna stick bc I didn't see it until dirt caught on the adhesive. So I'm about to cut a section off and carefully line up a small piece so it is undetectable.......but I got to thinking, should I rock red tails and peel the tint off? I always thought that since I have a black truck, maybe red would look better.....

I have scrap pieces laying around so I can patch it. It's gonna cost $30-40 if I have to buy 2 new pieces of film (I do them myself), so once I peel them off to rock red, it's a done deal, hence why I need opinions.
