Just found this old thread. Well obviously I kept it. It pulls my boat and a camper, not at the same time of course lol. So the turn signal thing was the multi switch - fixed, u joint-fixed, the fuel pump was obviously replaced. All that's left is the ac, spider and some noise from the drivers side. Glad I kept it. It feels good when I get compliments on it and renews my love for this thing.

Wow. What a silly thread lol. So just about a year later here is where I stand.
Tail light issue sort of came back, bulbs would just stop and I'd get the fast blinks thing. Turned out the circuit board was bad....again.
Ac- parts just ordered and arrived yesterday. Orifice tube was broken to shit so they are sending another
Noises from front, well one for sure was the sway bar links, got the old ones off, having a ***** of a time lining up and installing the new ones.
Injector spider, plugs, wires, cap and rotor and intake gasket all just done last week.
I'm going to order new rotors tomorrow and will replace them while everything is apart.

With the new stuff done to the engine recently she feels like a brand new truck, at least the engine does. It really renewed my interest in getting it back to being my DD. so in the span of a month or so and about $1500 I've really transformed this thing back to a nice truck. One I get it back on the road, it's stereo, amp and speaker time.

I like not having payments...and the maint costs on newer vehicles is insane!

Nearly everything in the OBS trucks is easily fixable. Google and Youtube have save me thousands!

I agree movie. I'm almost done with this thing. I just need to flush the evap and condenser, put the hose, accumulator and compressor back on, vac and charge it.

On the turn signal. Check any trailer wiring first. Then the tail light assy. Just unplug it at the often shorted circuit board on the back of the light. Then check the front. I've had direct shorts from a bad bulb before. Sometimes the basics are easily overlooked.

Oh that was fixed a long time ago. It ended up being a number of things. The multi switch, the circuit boards and yes the trailering harness. Not all at the same time though.
