I think there is a screw loose in the ceiling. Really hard to locate where the sound is coming from. From driver seat it sounds like passenger side, but from passenger side it sounds like driver side.

Driving the 2019 Tahoe (22K miles) yesterday and sounded like something broke lose all the sudden and hear something rolling around behind the dash on passenger side. I was driving maybe 35mph on smooth straight road, not like I hit a bump or curve or anything. It's not anything in the glove box or storage compartments. Any ideas?
I’m sure it’s a 10mm socket. Some robot at the plant is really sad today

two phillips screws, not sure where they go. The overhead console does seem a bit loose now.

I got a super awesome panel tool and a really nice hammer out of the cowl of my 2010 Acadia. Made an awful noise on way from dealership. Got home and decided to look instead of taking it back.

I just had the same issue, my wife and I were arguing what side the rolling sound is coming from in the dash. Luckily, after searching this forum and a few other sites we discovered the problem is in the overhead console. A screw or screws fall on the backside of the overhead console cover. Let down the sun glass holder and pry the rear clips loose and sure enough I had a screw in my overhead console cover. Problem solved. There are videos on how to remove the overhead console on a Tahoe which will show you how to pry the cover off.
