if you had bose it would say it right there on the door speaker.. they're pretty proud of their stuff and won't miss an opportunity to stick a label on something.

O have an 01 LT and have the "premium sound package" of the models sub and all but have Bo clue what company they used

Finally got around to replacing speaker(s), and yes it was the speaker. No more gargling/distortion. Lesson learned and confirmed.

Not suprising, the surrounds on my bose in my 03 were preety rotten.

For those of you with bose, infinity sells 2 ohm coaxials. My speakers were unmarked as to ohm load, and I'm too lazy to meter them and see what they were. I just had a set of the 6.5" 3way infinity coaxials chilling in the back from my totaled GP so I threw them in last week.
