spider Gear Question

I just ordered a new set of spider gears because somehow i managed to destroy mine. How much should I expect for an install? one of the grease monkeys at the shop tried to tell me a grand with parts (which seems high because I got the gears for $70 shipped) Also whats the torque specs for the u bolts on the leaf springs? my passenger side leaf pack is also destroyed.

dude jus do it urself its easy jus make sure u clean the inside wit brake cleaner to get all the metal out its simple

Yeah it's pretty easy, there are a few write ups on the inet if you google.

Yeah i heard that, i good with cars but if u don't set them right u can end up destroying everything in dif. I can't wait to get it done so i can drive normal again.

We're talking spider gears here not the ring and pinion ... There is no setup, you take the old ones out, put the new ones in ...
