New to to the forum, not new to t/s vehiculers... Here is my dilemma:
Squeaking like metal to metal coming from belt area. increases in repetition as RPM's increase Doesn't go away when engine gets warm.
What I have done:

Replaced belt
Replaced belt tensioner
Cleaned removed and inspected all pulleys except alternator, and crank
Cleaned all pulleys...i tried lubricating oil around some of them...and missed
put stethoscope on all parts that have a pulley nothing sounds out of the ordinary
Cleaned belt...
pulled out some hair

P1345 code:
I run a Scan Gauge all the time... cleared code reviewed PID's stored when code came...nothing out of the norm.
Only happens when cold start, but not all the time.
I know it is the CKP/CMP Sensor correlation error
I can't check then Cam Retard with my scanner, and the cheapest local shop is going to charge $100 just to read the CAM retard. B.S! (It takes at most 15 minutes to do)
Checked wires all are in good shape, haven't bought either of the sensors yet.
Checking the procedure in Haynes manual tomorrow to check voltages on both sensors

1997 2 dr tahoe gas 4x4 auto 159,000 miles
I just serviced the following:
fresh oil & filter
lubricated all fittings
new fuel filter
new plugs and wires
new sway bar end links
new tie rod end links
new K&N air filter
new belt
new belt tensioner
new Heater Control Valve
coolant flush got rid of the red stuff, filled it with the green
Pulled more hair out.

As far as I know the motor has not been replaced, and the Distributor cap looks like the original I have not touched it, and I have put 16,000 miles on it since I bought it.

If anyone has any ideas please share....I would like your opinions, before I drop cash on it.

Thanks in advance

unknown at this time.
:welcome:

Check the alignment of power steering pump pulley. And you will need to get the proper scanner to set the correlation.

BTW the coolant is supposed to be orange and should be left as such.

Thanks!

I refuse to leave DEX-COOL in any GM vehicle I own. I do a complete flush, and have never had any coolant related problems.

The power steering pump, and pulley are good to go, double checked them.

The cheapest I could find a scanner with the most recent update, capable of what I need it to do is a snap on mt2500 on ebay for $300 I could buy a water pump, power steering pump, and a j/y alternator for that price!

I checked the voltages earlier this evening here are the results:
CKP Sensor:
Pink wire w/ignition on = 11.8 VDC
Yellow wire w/motor cranked = 3.8 VAC

CMP Sensor:
Pink wire w/ignition on =11.9 VDC
Brown/White wire w/motor cranked =12VAC, and

The last measurement seemed off to me so I double checked it, and that was what it read both times. So I double checked that I was reading the correct wire, and I was. I even thought maybe the Haynes manual meant while the motor was cranking, so I removed the fuel pump relay and just cranked it...same reading...

It's like the Computer is giving the sensor too much voltage. Makes me think the sensor is bad... what do you all think?

Thanks for the help.

i would try what sun said first. also since you dont use dexi cool try putting some water wetter in your coolant and see if it helps... i would say the ps or the water pump...
