98gmcyukon4x4 -last couple of days (6-7) the truck likes to play games with me sometimes she will start right up no issues an other times it will start but then die within a second or two after i release the key from the start postion. but when i try it again it starts fine ive had at least 2 tanks of gas ruling out the bad gas excuse , it does sound fuel related maybe timing but im leading more to a fuel issue ive been thinking its my inline fuel filter under the passenger door tucked in the frame . but not sure any suggestions

unknown at this time.
The one on the fuel pump is a sock. The other is on the inside left frame rail under the front door. When you let go of the key are are letting it snap back hands off or releasing it softly? if power to the pump is getting killed you relay may be goofy as well. On 1998-on the pcm has full control over relay so no issues with oil pressure switch controlled pump any more so you can eliminate an oil switch as a cause.
