nope . you remove a dust cap screw on gauge and follow some simple key on key off tests. The tests might look complicated but they are easy really.

well i wanted to dig my hands into that project this weekend but simply dont have the time it sucks but i did drop it off this morning at my mechanic , hes owned like 5 of these trucks an currently has a bad ass lifted one but anyway he told me my spider-fuel-some-shit is ****** up and its a pos plastic gm one and since they have used metal in the replacements but i do trust the guy i dont think hes out to make money off of me due to the fact he never charges me a diagnoses fee , and when he tells me how much parts are i reaserch them myself to find that they are spot on if not more expensive if i were to pay for them . so the damage report is 1019 for the intake gasket an all everything top end hes not charging me tax either since i pay with cash . so acording to the symtoms i gave what are yalls opinions on how acurate this is? 2011-09-23_17-13-35_300.gif

how good is the brand? i mean i def appriciate you saving me money but because ive pretty much decided to keep this truck for a very long time i want to make sure this part lasts as long as this one did 10+ years if you get my drift plus ive always been a believer of "you get what you pay for" but if u say its good i have to take your word for it

SunlitComet is right on part to use. I've bought and installed the same one.

I noticed that the quote was for 5 hours of labour. To me that's good. I did mine myself and it took me over 18 hours.
Although some guys here say they did it in 3 hours. I still say pay the 5 hours and be done with it.
