Starts for a few seconds then dies

I wouldn't doubt that's why it's running rich. But would that cause it to not run? And yes it smells like gas. Like I said before. It threw the codes running rich on both banks and a random misfire. I've also heard the distributor gear is real bad to wear out and would cause them codes

Must have missed wher you listed the codes. I hear lots of things. Like Trump is gonna be President.


Sure it could cause it not to run. This is not a carburetor fuel system. More than a handful of sensors are monitored for fuel pulse and ignition timing just to start and idle. If other parameters from other inputs are not met the engine is shut down.

Got the fuel pump and filter changed now it's running. Cel still on and idles rough as before but it runs!! Now to figure out why it's misfiring and running rich
