I have read and understand its a intermediate steering shaft and want to buy it... Anyone have advice to install.
I have a 2005 Escalade and im about to travel 2500 miles.
I see it has splines, do they need to be greesed?

Really want some info from someone who has done this repair themselves.
I was looking at a Dorman replacement. Any feedback on there shafts?

Sure would appreciate any help I can get ....

I recently replaced mine. Picked one up on eBay for $50 with shipping. Took about an hour to install. Fairly easy.

I just picked up 2 dorman replacements. 1 for mine and 1 for the wifes. I plan on installing them in the next couple of days. I have heard very good things about the dorman replacements and they are supposed to be easy to install. We'll see.

I have a dorman setting in my garage waiting for install. I have heard that the power pedal can be a problem.
