Good day all.

I recently found a plug n play remote starter for my 2006 Tahoe LT. Installation was easy enough, with one frustrating exception.

When I went to put the interior back together I found that the new wiring loom is too thick to close the column cover completely. I suspect it has to do with the steering wheel controls eating up space on the underside of the column. I plan to remove the protective sheath from the loom, see if I can flatten out the wires enough that way.

Alternatively I have 2 ideas, 1st is to go at the bottom cover with a heat gun and try to stretch it out a bit. Second is to cut the bottom in half, then stitch it back together with zipties or something equivalent but more stylish.

Thoughts? Experiences? Editorials?

Thanks

Pictutes might help, I would guess the new loom may need to be unwrapped or adjusted in some fashion

I'm at work right now, was just thinking about it, thought I'd post, see if anyone else had encountered it, had suggestions. I'll snap a few pics next time I'm puttering.
