Good day all.
I recently found a plug n play remote starter for my 2006 Tahoe LT. Installation was easy enough, with one frustrating exception.
When I went to put the interior back together I found that the new wiring loom is too thick to close the column cover completely. I suspect it has to do with the steering wheel controls eating up space on the underside of the column. I plan to remove the protective sheath from the loom, see if I can flatten out the wires enough that way.
Alternatively I have 2 ideas, 1st is to go at the bottom cover with a heat gun and try to stretch it out a bit. Second is to cut the bottom in half, then stitch it back together with zipties or something equivalent but more stylish.
Thoughts? Experiences? Editorials?
Thanks
