Steering wheel clunk!

I have heard that the bushings on the steering racks on these goes bad and can cause some slop.

Did you ever get this figured out? If not...I bet it’s the intermediate shaft.

Very likely the column bearings. I've put new columns in both of mine.

intermediate shaft was gonna be my guess.
