We have a 2003 Yukon XL at 155330 miles on it, we bought it at just a little over 120k. When driving it, it whines like a power steering pump, but only when turning right. Left is good and smooth. Any thoughts? I'd read somewhere else that maybe the boot where the steering column comes out of the car could need lub.

The whining is caused by resistance in steering system, so I think you have something binding. I assume that the fluid level is correct on the dip stick.
