I recently replaced all of the front suspension components (bushings, pittman arm, idler arm, tie rods etc) and had an alignment done. The ** drives great and the prothane bushings have made a noticeable improvment. My question is this. Before the work and alignment, the steering wheel sat a little to the right (bout 1 o'clock) and remains in the same position while driving. When off (ignition on), the wheel is straight but it has play. When i move it the wheels don't move. The problem is somewhere in the column or linkage. I know that on the old GM's they had a "rag joint" in the steering rod. Do the newer ones (99 model) have anything like this? This slack in the wheel is driving me nuts. Is there an adjustment? As always, thanks.
