Stereo stays on

I have the bose factory radio and when i turn the key off open the door and get out the radio stays on, even if i lock the doors with the remote. not sure how long it stays on cuz i go out to it after a few hrs and the radio is off. it does not kill the battery. Also the interior lights do not come on when i open the any of the doors. anyone know what would case these problems?

Is there a dome over ride switch or button anywhere on the dash? Or the dimmer? check for those and see if anything changes. If they dont ever come on check the fuse. Dont know about your radio. It still plays music?

ya i tried messing with the override and dimmer switch and no luck. if i push the dimmer all the way up it turns on the interior lights but only go off if i roll it back down. I checked fuses and they all looked good. yep music just keeps playin until I hit the power button but clock still stays on.

check to see if your door pin switches are working properly.most gm cars and trucks have whats called (RAP) retained accessory power that will keep the radio and windows working for 10 minutes after you shut the truck off or till you open the door. not sure if the 99 denali has it but its wort looking into

both front door pin switches were missing, i replaced the drive side and now the radio goes off when i open the driver door. the interior lights still do not come on when the door is opened. is the override button connected with the headlight switch? cuz there is no plug plugged into that part of the switch. could that part of the headlight/dimmer switch be bad?

with the door open try pressing the dome button once that should turn the lights on. im not sure if the passenger switch has to be connected for it to work.

pressing the dome override doesnt do anything different. I pulled the glove box and couldnt find the wiring for the passenger door tho.
