Stock exhaust to Magnafow exhaust

Ok...I got my Magnaflow muffle today....What is the best way to have it installed? Do I replace all piping 3" from Cat. back? Or just have them tie it in to stock 2.5" piping?

Stock is 2.75 inch pipe

im assuming the 5.3L has the 2.75 piping? the 6.2 has 3''
