Ok. Thank you!!

By the way, would a cluster bezel from a 03-06 work on a 02 ? I can find plenty of them....

I am pretty sure, yes. If you are checking at ebay, contact the seller and find out. It could look the same but attach differently.

Found 2 bezels locally. One was a 03-06 and it didn't fit over the radio well, the other was a 99-02 and it fit like a glove. The 99-02 openings are wider and narrower (called 1.5 DIN or something), the 03-06 are meant for a double DIN style radio. The openings are clearly different, but unless you looked at them side by side, it was not obvious.

The 2000-2002 radios only had a lock on them if the owner enabled that feature and set their own code. It's called Theftlock and it's turned off by default. Most radios probably won't have a lock code as the average person wouldn't have bothered enabling it.

I'm not certain about the standard 2003-2006 radios, but the factory navigation radios are coded to the VIN of the vehicle they're installed in. If you pull one from a junkyard or get a random one off of ebay, it'll lock itself as soon as you turn it on and display "THEFTLOCK ACTIVATED" on the screen in a cool Batman style font.

You'll need a Tech2 to reprogram the VIN. Super easy though, takes all of 60 seconds to do.
