Yes, i got the harness, it is really only two out of four wires that are being used. On mine is negative and one that jumps to 2.5v when i reverse. Other two are 12v and some other wire which are not being used by the harness. That being said, you could make your own harness.

Here is the reply from pioneer

Thank you for contacting Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc.
You would need to have the installer check the connection of the reverse camera. If it works when you put the vehicle in reverse, we know it has power. I suspect they need to wire the camera to be powered on anytime the vehicle is on. Not just when the vehicle goes into reverse.

The installer will also need to check the video connection from the AVH to the rear display.
Our unit has a composite video output, the factory display may have a special connection and require an adapter.

Sincerely,

Rocky

What was the original question to them? This is a blank response with no valuable input.

Just soldered 2 diodes into camera harness. Current flows as described in the diagram above. Waiting on 12v to 2.5v stepdown to come in to test.

If your camera works by manually turning it on but not in Reverse, your radio has to be set to wrong camera polarity. Mine does just that if my polarity is set to ground rather than battery. Take a multimeter and test your camera output. As of rear monitor, I spent a week trying to figure it out, but it also has to be the the setting in your HU. I got mirroring option and dual zone option. Does your radio support dual zone? Well, regardless of dual zone, rear video should work you just won't be able to listen to music on HU while watching a movie in the back if you don't have dual zone. What i did, i took my little tv to the car and tested rear video output. I knew that TV should work 100% if there is an output so this gave me an ability to troubleshoot and i came to realization that it was HU setting

That's what I figured is probably wrong with the video but the camera only works when you turn it on manually then put it into reverse does that make more sense it's a black screen then you put it in reverse and it works correctly it's just not turning on automatically and turning off like the stock radio

Well I figure out the video part!! It's not in setting but in another part of the radio you need to click to pull up rear then click either mirror or DVD and it works now if I can only figure out the rear view camera then I can figure out if I have any more problems with it lol it is a dual zone radio so I don't know how to work that but now that I found this new area in the radio I'll try out other options to figure that out

On mine, i had to slide the screen to the second page to turn on rear mirroring or DVD option. To make dual zone work, hit DVD for rear, it will start playing on the rear screen then go back to front settings and hit whatever you want (like dh radio). Now you can listen to the radio while dvd is playing in the rear (i use it with IR headphones).

I didn't understand your statement about the camera.

Ok let me try this again so if you go back to the first page I have the picture of my settings now to turn on the camera the back camera input needs to be on, now it should work automatically but it doesn't when I put it in reverse, so I can manually turn it on by pushing camera view on and then it will go to a blank screen now when I put it in reverse it turns on perfect so thats how i know the reverse wire is correct then I put it in drive and it goes blank again and I keep trying to get some different settings on the screen when it's in that view but nothing works it has to be a setting because if the camera works in camera view which is the view that you want for your trailer it should work the automatic way but how and what settings is the main question now

So come to find out the reverse wire from the maestro rr is not putting enough volts out to turn the rear view camera on automatically
