Hello everyone...I have been a long time lurker, although this is my first post.

2007 Tahoe with no modifications other than aftermarket radio. Approx. 125,000 miles and engine runs great. My problem is with the Driver's information center and door chime. Two different dealers have had this truck for days on end and it won't act up for them to track down.

The door chime will start chiming for 10 seconds to 10 minutes depending on the time. When the door chime activates, the turn signals do not show as activated in on the dashboard even if they are. In addition, the drivers info center intermittently goes dark. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Sometimes these two items occur simultaneously. Other times they are independent issues.

Anyone heard of anything like this? I am at my wits end and I believe my dealer is tired of me tying up his service bays. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

It sounds to me like a cheap/defective wiring harness for your aftermarket Stereo.

I had similar issues with my 2004 Chevy Colorado and it ended up being the Scosche wiring harness. I was unaware that there was even a service bulletin about this particular harness before it fried my BCM.

ultprthead,

Hello! I understand that you are experiencing an issue that continues although you have been to the dealership. I cannot guarantee anything but I would be interested in looking into this concern for you. Could you private message me referencing this thread including your contact information, VIN, current mileage, and preferred dealership?

yup. I bet if you put your stock radio back in your problems will go away. The brain of the harness probably went bad.

Hold foot on brake. Then right on gas. Hammer the gas easy off brake let tires spin then rots them that will fix the issue. Guaranteed
