Ever since I got my Escalade, it has done this, and I just remembered to post about it now.

i hear a strange groaning, almost like those old school aaaahooooogaaaa horns, after I start my Esky and accelerate to about 8 or 10 MPH. The noise lasts for maybe 2 seconds at most, then I won't hear it again during any acceleration until I switch the truck off and start it again, then it'll make the noise the first time I get to that speed, then never again until I cut it off again. It sort of sounds/feels like its coming from the steering/brakes which since I have hydroboost are connected.

Any ideas would really be appreciated, it always seems to happen when I'm on campus and driving by people and my truck is like farting at them, so embarrassing.

its your traction control system and ABS doing normal checks. (kinda feels like the ABS kicks in for a second?) my yukon does the same thing and after a wheel speed sensor went in my front left axle it does it at every acceleration, and "traction active" appears on the DIC, and the transmission kicks into neutral, so i have let off the accelerator for a moment and it accelerates fine. (drives me insane) especially when i want to try and smoke some dbag or a friend at a stoplight.
