I didnt see that before. I just read that it was compatible with factor xm and in the instructions it plugs into the back of the head unit, also was going by what the crutchfield guy said. so i guess that option is out

It would be so cool if someone who knows a lot about bluetooth could build a new streaming version of the OnStar bluetooth box and a way to swap it out and stay compatible with OnStar.

In my case I don't use OnStar and would be okay with losing that if my handsfree options with my phone worked and I could stream music.

it seems like its going to have to be a new head unit... which sucks cus i was hoping to use the factory xm. and it also sucks because this means ill probably dive down the audio hole and go overboard

Maybe there's a way to hack the stock system to add one of the vehicle powered bluetooth streamers out of sight and switched.

Actually looking at the wire harness on this one and comparing it to the other model I tried that actually does connect to the external XM box behind the glovebox, they seem to be different.

The other model just had one input and one output connector to plug in between the XM box and the radio. This one has two of each, which look like the connectors on the back of the radio/nav unit.

Who knows?

I just put this in my burb today and it's great! Wish I would have known about it.before I put in the pioneer head unit. It worked but the loudness and sound quality through the pac harness was OK but not nearly as good as the stock bose. Easy upgrade for 60 bucks!

Anyone notice that the crux always takes control of the head unit after stop/start? I figured I was going nuts, but I know for sure I had it on some XM station, turned off the car, then turned it back on and it was on bluelogic.

Has anyone purchased this model? The BTGM-33.

I was thinking of doing our my head unit but if I could just get stream BT audio working that would be great.

I confirmed I have the premium xm/nav radio with DVD and backup cam. There is no xm box behind the glove box.

I found a review on crutch that someone paired the phone call audio to th stock BT and audio BT to the crux.

Just wondering if any others have experience with this as I think it's the way I'm gonna go.

Just installed this in my 2011 without nav. The streaming itself works great but there are a couple things that may be annoying.

I think the module stays on all the time, which could potentially drain the battery overnight? I’ll wait and see if this becomes a problem.

And the steering wheel controls on mine don’t work with the module. They just switch through my Sirius channel tabs which are all playing the Bluetooth. But I can use the controls on the dash to change track and switch to Sirius. So not a huge deal.

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking I just may get one of those Bluetooth adapters that either fm transmit or run to the aux in.
