Stuck Ignition Switch

My 2008 Yukon Denali ignition switch never turns, I have to attempt to turn it multiple time until it finally hooks, does anyone know what's the issue here?

HAve you tried applying pressure to steering wheel....its a physical key.

Are you using the original key or a copy? When I use the original key in mine, it turns flawlessly. But when I use a copy, I always have to fiddle with it to get it to turn.

Lock Cylinder likely worn. Try flippin key over or wigglin key. I'm not positive on your vintage, but steering lock may have pressure too. Wiggle steering.
