I have an 07 Yukon SLT with 4WD and limited slip rearend. I just noticed yesterday that on damp or wet pavement while making tight turns (parking speed) that the tires are fighting eachother and jerking the truck around. This makes me unsure as to whether or not the truck is stuck in 4WD when it is supposed to be in 2wd. It has a little larger tires with a more aggressive tread pattern than factory, but i still think its abnormal. I've only had it 2 months, so i can't actually be sure. It's particularly bad in reverse when turning tightly to park..... Any Suggestions or thoughts??!

No- and I’ve tried cycling the selector switch through the different options a few times to no avail. It sure feels like its stuck in 4wheel though- but I don’t know if that’s just the nature of the beast… ?

What exactly is it doing, is any light on the selector switch on except the 2wd ?
Do you have a service 4wd light on?
and You don't notice this on dry pavement?

Well, for instance backing into my parking spot at work in a parking garage with damp pavement- the tighter I turned the wheel it seemed to get worse and jump and screech on the ground. And yesterday I was backing out of my driveway onto blacktop and when I turned the wheel it seemed as though the BACK tires were fighting, and when I pulled away I could see where rubber had been chewed off into dust. I don’t know how wet the pavement was at that time, but I had just backed over some snow.

There are no warning lights on the dash- and the yellow selector light is on 2WD. I went through the choices yesterday and even 4Wlow, and back to 2wd and that apparently didn’t do anything to help, but did cycle into/out of LOW properly.

I would do this : next time you back out of a space , and this occurs back or pull back into the same position you were in when you started put the vehicle in 4wd and replicate the same moves , If you feel no changes Id say the truck is stuck in 4wd . for one on pavement you would feel a noticeable "binding" on the road in everyday driving at higher speeds you would also be hearing a whine in the drivetrain , it would actually be worse on dry pavement where the tires get the most grip . the fact that you only experience this issue on Damp or wet pavement leads me to believe there is something else going on here , do you have a LSD? if so maybe it is locking up (i don't see this happening with barley any throttle or at slow speeds) You also stated it has larger more aggressive tires . I can tell you from experience these will tend to slip/lock on slippery surfaces more as they bite and slip onto w.e they are traversing . I hope i was of some help maybe someone else will chime in and has more experience with your NNBS

i had the same problems actually, i have a similar model vehicle as well. I ended up unplugging my whole system and leaving it in 2wd for a few weeks then plugged it back in and everything was fine. I DONT RECOMMEND this though, haha, i couldnt afford professional work so i improvised and i got lucky. i don't know what the problem is though.

SW CT,
Could also be that you tires are rubbing on the swaybar or the backside of the wheelwell...it will produce similar symptoms.
