console in the making.
self explanatory. Made the top of the console a little below the edge that way my shit doesn't slide off. Going to recover it in gray leather and some suede. Going to make a arm rest pad as well. Angled all the gauges the same way so you can obviously see them when driving. Everything will be blue on the dash, hvac, gauges on the console and the pioneer radio is blue. keep everything simple.
Trying to get it all ready for a carshow this weekend but well see. Need to grab an alignment ASAP, get some rear shocks on, and put of the interior back together.

you cant rely on most stock gauges. Not even the speedos. From the factory they play around with gauges to read a certain way. usually the speedos are off 1 to 2mph for liability reasons.

the black on to the left is a LC1 wide band. a MUST for the whipple and autometers wide bands look gayer then aids.

Looks great so far but IMHO ditch the wide band! I would install it on the pillar by itself and install another guage in its place in the console. You ruin the "flow" of the console! I was in the same perdicament years ago with the same situtation, installed it on the pillar and had three matching guages in the guage cage.

im not a fan of pillar gauges.. way to gaudy for me. so everyone outside the truck can read what it says? lol

The black lc1 will be fine with the suede in the console... not too worried about it. If anything, if it really doesnt goo, ill switch that one to a pyrometer and stick the lc1 in the roof console

Looking great! The only thing I don't like is where it meets the stock part of the dash how it's angled up rather than having a level line there. that just looks odd to me but I'm sure by the time you're done and bring it all together it'll all flow nicely :Handshake:

yea i hear ya. It was the only thing i could do to actually angle the gauges towards the driver. if you had it straight, it would hit the dash and just be aiming to the rear of the truck. So you needed to make one end higher to bring it all together. it looks better in the truck with the gauges and such. Well see how it goes. also after i took those pictures, i put more fleece on the otherside of the gauges to close it up more. If it doesnt come out good, well i wasted 2 days of screwing around and a few bucks in materials. But anythings better then the stock ****** console that is wayyy to small
