Location
Eastern N.C.
I had a random leak, looked like it was the rear main seal or around that area. I put in Bar Oil and its stopped it (for now). Sucks because it sprayed oil all over the undercarriage of the truck. It sucks because it really made a mess under there, especially on my Thorleys.
I need to do one of those dye tests.

Anybody know where the oil pressure switch is located? I heard it was around the rear of the engine but I can't find it!

Drivers side. Look under the plug wires at the distributor. Black cylinder about 3 inches long pointing toward the passenger side. Plug on the end.
It's a ***** to get out. Especially if you are tall.

Well I think I tracked down my oil leak. When the oil filter adapter gasket and seal was replaced I used the dorman part number 82560 which had a metal plate gasket that goes inbetween the filter adapter and block. It had blew out under pressure and the oring was flat. I went to the parts store and go the felpro oil cooler gasket set part number ES 72671 with a paper gasket and new orings that are much better quality. So far so good working good. The oil was all over the bellhousing and back thrid of the oil pan like it could have been the rear main seal but thank goodness it wasn't.
