Wednesday Morning, it wont start. run the battery out trying to start. The fuel pump WAS TURNING ON, but it wasnt getting to the engine. That evening, come home, STARTS RIGHT UP! I said "OK, It'll start tomorrow." Thursday morning, same thing. Fuel pump is turning on, starter is turning over, but NO RUNNING ENGINE. Come home, jump start car, starts right up. run codes. I get P0405. This came up as the EGR valve. I replaced this 2 months ago. I take it off, and it looks fine, but underneath it seems really sutty. Lots of black shat. The engine was put in 40k miles ago, it seemed more dirty than it should be. I took it out last night after jump starting it and ran it, it ran great. This morning, the fuel pump wasn't even turning over. I've been having to take my wifes car to work, and she went out to start it after i left, and it started right up. WTF IS HAPPENING??

Sunlit, rephrase your comment. I don't understand exactly. If it turned on, then I left it for a few minutes and came back, yes, it would turn on again

unknown at this time.
so relay is coming on but no pump? I would check its fuse and relay and relay terminals first. also try bypassing the relay to see if it runs. or a new relay if you need one for about $15 at autozone.

I bought a new relay. The pump is working, but the stuttering is still occurring at low rpms. I can tell a loss of power. Nothing noticeable while regular driving. But I can tell when I get into it, theres not as much. I've checked all the vacuum lines, and there were no breaks or leaks anywhere. Could it be something with the spark or ignition? It's not like a bucking, it more of a feeling of something suffocating the engine on and off at low rpms.

I just replaced MAF so thats good. I'll go ahead and get the MAP sensor and see what that does. I watched a video on hoe to test for leakage, and it was to spray water/soap onto plug wires and watch for sparks....sounds nice lol. is that the correct way?
