haven't done a pressure test, but i replaced the map and it hasn't stuttered since. runs great, but it is still throwing C0472 and P0405. What could cause these?

p0405 is the egr pintle position signal is lower then 0.12v for more then 10 seconds. egr receives reference 5 volt from pcm and output is dependent on pintle position. I think of it like it is acting up like a scratchy volume control on a radio. moving the pintle back and for may clear it up short of replacing egr. curious tho that is the same 5v power supply that feeds the map and well as he fuel tank pressure sensor. would verify you have a steady 5v on grey wires on map and egr connectors that feed power to them from the pcm. p0472 does not show in the service manual. verify number please.

the evo steering wheel sensor signal is below 0.2v for more then 1 second. signal wire is light blue. usually means the sensor is bad.

So the sputtering has gone away for whatever reason, but i noticed today when i push the throttle all the way from a stop, that it wants to bog down for half a second and then FULL POWER!!! It'll go smooth for 1/2 second, act like there's not throttle, then go. Every time I tried it, it did the same thing.

bad tps, maf or map typically does that. verify fuel pressure while doing that and keep on doing it as it may get itself to trigger a code indicating the fault.
