So I decided to put a system in the Tahoe as it is very hard to convince myself not to when I had a JL 10W3v3 and JL SlashV2 500/1 amp just laying around. I do not have detailed pics of everything as I am very bad at taking the pics when I am doing mods and installs. With that being said I do have some pics and would be more than happy to walk you through anything that you need.
Now for my install I wanted it to be as close to a stock look as possible without seeing any wires or amps or woofers. So I started by removing the center console (I will post a link of a walk through done by JL Audio). I will say this install is for people who are used to doing this type of thing and are knowledgeable in installing audio systems 4/5.
I used my JL 500/1 amp and hid it under the console where the stock bose sub was mounted.(Note: this is not a small amp and I still had more space.) The box that I purchased (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-to-201...subwoofer-Enclosure-Box-Console-/221236119840) mounts directly between the two power captains chairs. I must say that Rodney makes a quality box for the price and he is a great guy! one thing that is going to be crucial to your success is the AudioControl LCi2. This thing is going to write all the wrongs done by the Bose system.
I will post up some pics now and let the questions flow.. I am more than happy to walk you through the install. There are some things i am leaving out but i assume that they will come up as questions and i can answer from there rather than rambling.
