A7Mad - Little late on reply but better late than never. Choose a sub to meet your exact needs for price, space and enclosure type. The following subs will easily meet all 3 of your needs and provide great performance sealed or ported while using under 3 cubic feet of airspace for the pair. The mounting depth is shallow enough to put anywhere you want.

If you get an amp able to provide 200-250w RMS at 2 ohm your subs will fill your truck with SQ not just SPL loudness. Here is an amp that will keep you under your 400 price total.

Wire like so at 2 ohm.

I've got an Fi SSD and I love it. These things are resilient and can take the abuse. Product quality is amazing, the sound quality is amazing and the prices are great.
I listen to all kinds of music and it sounds great on all of them.

If your looking for something small--check out the Kicker 8in. -L7's. I have 2 in a ported box in a 08' Scion Xb with a Soundstream 1000w mono amp and people swear I have 12's in it. Either way you go a ported box will hit harder unless you go with a sub made for a sealed box. Even 1 solobaric 8 will impress you. They handle 450w RMS each. I've had mine for 2 years now--in a 2007 Silverado crewcab and now the Scion.
