well had to cancel the order for those, I guess the seller with amazon prime doesn't want to take my money and will not give me shipping dates. I ordered the stuff back on the 6th and have not gotten anything back for a response for shipping. Ill have to see what else I can find now. Back to the drawing board.

Get some sundown audio. Sundown E series woofer is like $100-150 and will beat kicker, plant audio,Jl,Rockford or any other brand that is in that price range. Sundown is great. Lol

I found these links when looking for a calculator for box volume and these have some good info. I'm going to put these links in here for my reference as well as for anyone that wants to take a look at them. I'm going to start working on a box in the driver side rear quarter panel cargo area. I've got some good ideas and think it will turn out pretty nice. Truthfully the box doesn't have to look good at all just needs to be small or big enough for the sub I'm working with. I'm going to go with a shallow mount Pioneer in this area since there is not much room to work with and will eventually build a center console with a down fire sub up front for a bigger bang. That will be a bit bigger project than this one. Ill try and do as much pics and info as possible for this so it can be easily mimicked if anyone else wants to do it in the future. Hell I may even get something together for a diy box build kit if this is as easy as I feel it will be. Ill be using some 3/4" thick MDF wood that's only 35$ for a sheet of 4' x 8' for size if I remember correctly. Back in the lower 48 this piece of wood was cheaper and you could buy smaller sheets of it. I'm going to try and start work on this tomorrow as long as I can get all the materials together in the morning. Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be a fail!

I checked out the sundown stuff and not really in the price range. If I could get free shipping with one of the SD3 10" then I would give them a shot but at 200 a pop and another 100 in shipping, just doesn't look appealing to me right now.

I run DB Drive K9's. They hit hard and are crisp. There are a lot of options out there!

@massivespl and @AppocAlexx what are your thoughts on Hybrid Audio? I've been thinking of completely removing my Bose setup and having the entire cabin sound deadened before switching to those speakers. They are a little more expensive, but I am very impressed with their sound and quality. I am also currently running a 10" JL W6 v2 in a JL box pushed by a Massive 1000.1 D amp. I will probably keep the amp, but possibly change subs and go custom enclosure on the driver rear quarter panel.

never heard of hybrid audio but from the look of them, they look like they are pretty nice. Im not big into the competition stuff. The closest I have every worked with in competition type audio is the Planet Audio amps and mixed in with random subs. The way i see it, if you pay for it then you will most likely get a good product. JLs have always been a great company but they did have a few down years from what I'v seen, but from what I hear now they are back on track and running hard. All lines will have their cheap lines and their higher end lines. As long as you look at what the speakers are made of and not just what they look like then you will do good in buying a good audio system. The biggest things you need to make sure are you are matching the right amps to the right subs or speakers. If you just look at the max wattage and match the amp to the speaker that way then you will end up ruining stuff. Most people that talk trash about any company have most likely set up their system wrong and obviously had nothing to do with the components. If your setting up your system make sure you read into the specs and then some on the install. If you paying a company like Best Buy then be weary about it but most of the time they will treat you good but they as well as other shops should stand behind their work if they mess up.

I've heard of hybrid audio but don't know anyone using them. The Jl w6 is a nice sounding woofer.. If you have 1000watt amp look at an SSA icon subwoofer or if u want to spend alittle more get the xcon subwoofer.... They both are like a W6 on steroids
