A dealer I gave a deposit to a few months ago called and said GM allowed my order to be put through. Quite shocking as I’ve waited about 2 years now for a diesel Yukon XL.

I had basically given up and started looking at 1500/2500 Rams or a Wagoneer as you can get deep discounts on either or wait for the 2024 refresh (hopefully I don’t regret it)

Well anyway, the reason for my post is I saw the below YouTube video and I really liked the black GMC logo on the front. I want to make sure I get that, but GMC’s build site isn’t great with details. Is the black GMC logo on the front grill part of the “Black Nameplates” option for $285?

It wasn't just now when I built a 2023 GMC Yukon XL Denali. Just the "names", not the emblems or logos.

If all you're looking for is black front & rear logos, buy the precut overlays. check out etsy. they look like oem

Black lighted front emblems are OEM and available. I've had one from the beginning and have already had it replaced once due to bad LED lights in one of the characters. They do look sharp...

Just buy online and ship to your dealer and they can install when it arrives.

Your experience was similar to mine. I've also been waiting a while for a diesel allocation and my dealer called yesterday and said it could move forward. When I asked if they got "2" diesel allocations (since there was 1 diesel order in front of me) he said he isn't currently showing the diesel on constraint. I don't know if this is a temporary thing or what, but certainly good news for those of us interested in the diesel.

Regarding the front/rear black GMC logo, I'm also going to do this. My wife likes it a lot more than red. As the post above by @Banks22 shows, you have to buy it from the parts department/online afterwards. It isn't possible to add it at factory order time. The black nameplates in the order system are something different as a post above by @swathdiver suggests.

Yeah kind of sucks if you want just the rear camera mirror you have to get $6K in options (Adv Tech package, Max Tow, RSE).

I actually want Max Tow and the tech package. What bothers me is forcing RSE and SC (I don’t mind SC as much). I don’t have kids and hardly ever anyone in the back seat. Do they at least come out easy as many times I do load up my truck with things like ladders, boxes, etc and I’d hate to crack a screen

I remember this bugged me too on our last Terrains. Getting the sunroof (so the wife's hair looked nice in the light) cost some over $4k with all the required add ons. I told her to wear a hat when we got the Tahoe. (no sunroof)
