I've spent the last couple weeks researching and reading posts in the forum. Here is my conclusion and my plan. Let me know what you think.

First off I plan on dropping my YD with a Belltech 2/3 kit. Without previous personal experience this seems to be a high quality kits according to most members here.

I'm going with 22" wheels. I know 22's have pro's and con's and I'm willing to deal with both. Most of the 22's I'm looking at are 9.5 inches wide. I'm planning on a +18 to +25 mm offset. I want my tire to be as close to fender as possible without sticking out.

As far as tires go. I'm planning on a 285/45/22. I don't want to rub. I love the look of a 305 but much of my driving is in the city with tight parking lots and parking ramps to deal with.

Is rubbing that big of deal? I know there are a few ways to eliminate rubbing, ie, trimming the wheel well, zip ties, etc.

Tires: Toyo Proxes ST or ST II's? I've heard great things about Toyos but I'm also open to suggestions. Keep in mind I'm looking for a summer street performance tire.

Thank you all in advance. I've found the members here to be very knowledgeable. If anyone is in the Mpls/St. Paul area I'd like to check out your ride.

Tony

With that drop and 305s you will barely rub. I have had two sets of the ST's over the years and they were great. I had them on a Vehicross and actually took it off roading in about 3-4 inches of mud and they did great. They did great in heavy rain and snow/ice. If I decide to keep my Yukon dropped, I will be buying a set this fall.
