I made no modifications at all to mine. I simply replaced the incandescent bulbs with switchback LEDs.

Yes, I have hyperflash with the directionals. I could have purchased resistors to eliminate the hyperflash, but I actually prefer it, and I believe that it is more noticeable on the road, which is the purpose of having directional flashers in the first place. I understand, however, that some state laws do not permit hyperflash, so I would recommend checking out your state laws in advance.

That's exactly what I always thought. Hyperflashing makes you too noticeable? That is the point.
