I installed a pair of the SilverStar zXe headlights today. I was replacing a pair of Silverstars on my Yukon. Everything else is LED including switchbacks so the yellow light is killing me. I used DDM tuning before and had two pair of ballasts go bad in just months....they suck (DDM and their crappy products). Also, it turns out they ARE actually blinding :mexsmoke: (that's Soulsea by the way, just kidding buddy). The zXe headlights are not different, I couldn't tell them apart from the ones I already installed. So...in closing don't buy them. My wife will laugh at me when I tell her that I have to spend a grand on retrofitting my headlights for HID.....:hands:

Hmm, I just bought some of these. I may return them.

Anyone else here with any experience on these?

They're good bulbs.

They do have the blue coating to make the light appear whiter, and any time a bulb is coated it will sacrifice lumens/output.

I don't have the specs of the stock bulbs.

My guess is that despite the light blue coating, the zXe will be slightly brighter than stock.

Okay thanks. I supposed it is worth it then.

I got these for like $38.00, they retail for $59.00.

I suppose I will run these till I get HIDs. You do that write up you promised yet? Then I can start saving for a RetroFit. :)

Piece by piece.

I have these too after two sets of HID's went out on me. They look the same as stock :IMO:
