New stuff this time. We've updated our reliability stats for the Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche to include owner experiences through the end of 2014. Plus we've added reliability trends graphs. These indicate how a model's reliability has changed as it has aged, and how different model years performed when the same age.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2015 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 19, low, very small sample size
2011 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 48, moderate
2010 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 20, low, small sample size
2009 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 69, moderate, very small sample size
2008 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 41, low
2007 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 75, moderate
2006 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 96, high, small sample size
2005 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 97, moderate
2004 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 93, moderate
2003 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 71, low
2002 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 58, low
2001 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 124, high, small sample size
2000 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 92, moderate, very small sample size
1999 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 80, low, small sample size

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2007 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 56, 2
2005 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 44, 7
2004 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 47, 9
2002 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 57, 3

We'll have further updates in May and in August. The more owners participate, the more comprehensive and precise these will be.

I've attached that new graph. With more responses we'd probably have smoother curves, for more model years.

So, how have these SUVs been doing lately?

Our reliability stats for the Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche (and Yukon, also included below) now include owner experiences through March 31, 2015. (Others are nearly a year behind.)

In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year ("low" is best):

2011 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 24, low
2010 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 21, low, very small sample size
2009 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 68, moderate, very small sample size
2008 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 59, moderate
2007 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 70, moderate

Plus, the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2007 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 60, 2

No stat for a model year? Then we very much need more participants for it. Same for those with small sample size notes. Next updates in August and November.

Our reliability stats for the Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche and Yukon (also included in the stats below) now cover the year ending June 30, 2015. (Others are over a year behind, and so report how these cars were doing when a year younger.)

Repair trips per 100 cars:

2013 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 47, moderate, very small sample size
2011 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 24, low
2010 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 11, low, small sample size
2009 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 44, low, very small sample size
2008 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 72, moderate
2007 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 54, low

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2007 Tahoe / Suburban / Avalanche: 59, < 1

If a model year isn't listed, or its sample size is small, then we especially need more owners involved.
