I installed a set of 5100's on my 2003 Tahoe Z71. The Tahoe is now very bouncy. If I step on the brakes hard at 3-5 mph the front end will bounce up and down for a couple seconds. I thought that since I was stock height the shocks might be compressed too much so I cranked the torsion bars to lift the front about an inch and a quarter. That did not help much at all. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

Here is a crappy video but it gets the point across...

What shock number do you have? Still a stock height?

The part numbers are:

Front- 24-186643
Rear- 24-187327

The Tahoe is stock height with the exception of raising the front a little over and inch with the stock keys.

Did you install the shocks upside down...boots down?
If so, then flip them.

I wish it was something silly like that. The rears seem fine. It's the front that is making everything bounce

My front shocks pogo more than the back ones, but I figured it was due to higher rate springs in the rear with the Z71 & towing package. I guess that I could crank up the torsion bars until the ride is even front/back.

Yea they were a biotch to install bc I had to compress them a bit and that was no easy feat.
