ehh ill ship, you have to pay the premium on it tho! im not sure i have a box big enough..

Yukondriver- before you throw a manifold and heads on.. stop spending your money on these TBIs! lol They are garbage. Pick up a 5.3 or 6.0 ls motor and go from there. you can pick up one of those for less then 800bucks and it will still be faster and better fuel efficient then a tbi whipple+heads and other crap..
I wish i would of stopped a long time ago on this TBI :( i have over $1500 easy in the whipple, 400 headers, 200 exhaust, 300 tune, etc etc. i could of been way past 400 hp with a different motor for less money. right now im sure im wellll below 300hp! lol

I'd have to be getting the 4.8 for free, though, to consider that :)

While that probably makes sense, there's something I like about having the original engine still in the truck. Maybe that's just me being young and stubborn, but LS swaps are obviously becoming more common. This is kind of different, and I like that.

I've never been one to do something different just for the sake of being different.....there's usually a reason something is popular. I just like having my 5.7. Maybe someday I'll change my mind. But I also like the simplicity of OBD1 and less computer integration. I'm not looking to make as much power as possible, but I would like to get into the 400-450 range, and I think that's definitely possible with this motor.

But yes, I see what you're saying. Maybe someday, but for now, I like the way it's going. Sorry to have derailed your thread. haha. Consider it a free bump.

I have my 5.3 with bolt ons and a cam making 348 to the wheels on a mild tune ~420 at the crank. About 2 grand in parts and labor but I did most of the stuff myself. LS's are the way to go...
