Tahoe Visor Mirro

I need to know how to replace the visor lighted vanity mirror on the passeger side without breaking it or the frame.

I have a 99 LT, 4D, 4WD, 350 5.7,

The cover on my current mirror broke off and the light will now come on and sometimes stay on.

I got a replacement visor at the junk yard, but I want to replace only the mirror. How do I get the mirror off without breaking it.

Any other tips?

Gently remove the clear lenses.

That will epose two tabs that are "melted" onto two pins.
I used a soldering iron to seperate the tab form the pins


There are also two plastic catches above and below these tabs/pis that snap onto/into the visor.

It becomes clearer once you remove the clear lenses.
