Hello,
Please excuse me if this has been covered, but I can't seem to find it from searching (it's a bit of a weird issue so maybe I didn't search properly).
I picked up a 2007 Yukon Denali off my brother-in-law who had installed what I think are Spec D LED tail lights. These As soon as he did this, the rear brake lights would come on and stay on (even if the car was turned off). He tried changing the brake switch out which didn't work. His solution was to splice a line from the 3rd brake light and use that as a bypass instead.
This all seemed to work, but here's the dangerous part. I don't have any night time running rear lights. I have brakes and signals, but no running lights.
Ultimately I'd like to get the initial issue sorted out if I can. I don't see why this would have something to do with the lights themselves, but I currently don't have any OEMs to test out.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Currently can't drive my vehicle at night as it's not safe, and I'll likely get a ticket.
Cheers.
