I took the panel off mine and checked the actuator conncetion, I get a momentary 12v at the connector when unlocking and locking so it must be the actuator. I ordered a used one on ebay for $60 hopefully it'll work.

Did you do a search based on p/n? Care to share?

Got the used 2002 suburban actuator today and installed it but it was different from the one on my 05 yukon denali (you can see in the pic) - I was able to install it anyway and it wokrs fine ( you can see it installed into the bracket in the pic).

It seems like most of these issues I saw online are with 05 and 06 trucks, and it looks like they changed the lock actuator for those years. The good news is that the 01-04 actuators work in the 05s (assuming that the 01-04 actuators are actually better).

Having the same problem with my 2006 Tahoe won't lock. I've tried with the remote and by each front dOor and nothing locks it. I wouldn't want to zip tie it closed because I use it all the time but I also keep valuables and can't afford to leave it unlocked

Buy one of those actuators off ebay and pull the trim off the tailgate (two pieces) do the top piece first. Unplug and unbolt the old actuator and slide it out and put the new one.

You're in way better shape than I was since you can at least open the windows and tailgate - mine was stuck locked.

The beauty of it being the tailgate is that no one knows it's unlocked until they try to open it. lol
